Dear Ms Orton,
I hope you are well.
Having received my son Samy’s latest report for this academic year, I would like to discuss a few issues. I was very disappointed to read about Samy’s results in a number of subjects, such as English and Computer Science.
I believe that this underachievement is due to some issues related to the transition to online learning.
His English and Computer Science teachers have described incomplete work on Samy’s part. In these cases, Samy was not informed where and how to upload and submit his schoolwork properly.
Therefore, I am kindly asking for his teachers to mark his recently submitted work and he will submit his remaining work this week. As for Computer Science, Samy has informed me he submitted his work several times but Mr Mathias has not been able to access it. I would like to stress that Samy’s previous ICT teacher remarked that Samuel was excellent during parents evening, which is why this result of ‘poor’ is especially disappointing.
I would greatly appreciate Samy being given another chance to complete his work before the end of the school year.
Thank you for your time

Dear Mr S. Smith,
Re: Samy Zuhair 9ADE
Thank you for your letter dated 9th July in which you outlined the options my son Samy has been entered for in Key Stage 4.
Unfortunately, these options are not what Samy wants to study. He has previously informed his teachers of his keen interest to study Computer Science on a number of occasions.
Furthermore, I personally met some of his teachers last year and requested that he be given the opportunity to study Triple Science, but it seems that this too was denied.
As a result of these disappointing options, Samy has been left very distressed and anxious about his future at this school.
As a parent, I also would like him to study the subjects he prefers and excels in. I am also deeply concerned and upset about the disregard to his choices by the teachers.
Therefore, I am kindly requesting a change of Samy’s options for Key Stage 4, so that he may continue to thrive at Mill Hill. This means allowing him to study Computer Science, instead of Media Studies.
I hope you can support me in making these changes and I thank you for your time.
Yours sincerely,
